  • Piedmont Plumbers of Columbia SC
    4.1
    165 Zenker Rd., Lexington, US

Piedmont Plumbers of Columbia SC, LLC began in August of 2003, when Chris Veronee and Randy Beaty Sr decided to bring their over fifty years of plumbing experience together and begin a company in the midlands of South Carolina at the request of several well known builders. Randy already owned his own company in Greenville, and Chris was working in Summerville. They opened up their first shop on Burton Rd. in Lexington, SC in a rented warehouse. In the beginning Randy and Chris worked alone with just a few sub-crews. As their work began to grow and the company flourished, they were able to buy property and build their own shop in their present location at 165 Zenker Rd. in Lexington. Over the years the company has grown from servicing one builder to more than 10 major builders in the Lexington and Columbia market. Piedmont Plumbers of Columbia averages about 1200 homes per year. In 2007 Chris Veronee became the sole owner and manager of the company. They are family owned and operated and now serve the entire midlands of South Carolina. Chris and his family credit all of the company's success to God and their Savior Jesus Christ.

What are the signs of a water leak?

Signs of water leaks include:
  • Dripping sounds from pipes or faucets.
  • Water stains on walls, ceilings, or floors.
  • Damp or musty odors.
  • Increased water bills without explanation.
  • Mold growth near pipes.
  • Soft or spongy spots in walls or floors.
Address water leaks promptly to prevent bigger problems.

How to turn off the water main?

Knowing how to turn off your main water supply is crucial during plumbing emergencies. The location of the main water shut-off valve varies; however, it's usually located near the water meter, inside your home's utility closet or basement, or outside near the property line. The valve is typically a wheel-type valve that turns off by rotating it. If you're unsure of the location, it's best to locate it during non-emergency times to avoid any difficulty when you need to use it.

What constitutes a plumbing emergency?

Plumbing emergencies typically involve situations that cause immediate damage or risk to health and safety. This includes major water leaks, no hot water, and completely blocked drains. Any issue that poses a significant risk should be treated as an emergency.
